Cowra Hire is a proud second-generation family business that has been serving Cowra and the surrounding district since 1985.

Originally established as Cowra Equipment Hire by Charlie Rowston in July 1985, the business was built on a simple foundation, providing reliable equipment, honest service, and practical solutions to the local community. Over the decades, we have continued to grow and evolve, expanding our range of equipment to meet the changing needs of tradies, contractors, homeowners, and event organisers across the region.

In 1988, responding to strong local demand, we introduced our Event Hire range, broadening our services to help the community celebrate life’s special occasions. As our product range expanded, so did our facilities, with a second shed added in 1990 to support our growing operations.

In 2022, Cowra Hire proudly entered its next chapter when Charlie’s son, Alex, and his wife Roie purchased the business. Together with their two young children, Alby and Maya, they now operate the company alongside Charlie and the dedicated team. As a second generation family run business, we remain committed to the same values we were founded on, dependable equipment, genuine customer service, and strong community connections.

We are proud to have supported Cowra for over 40 years and look forward to continuing to serve our region for many more to come.
